Home Quality Management - Development of Standards EPOS believes that Quality Management (QM) is more than tools and strategies: It is a culture based on systematic monitoring of indicators, analysis and evaluation of structures, processes and outcomes at all levels of services and institutions, and needs the active and enthusiastic involvement of the organisation’s employees. Based on a solid and longstanding track record, EPOS provides sound consulting services in the area of QM and has gained special experience in the development of quality standards for primary and secondary health care facilities, in assessing the quality of care of health care providers and in preparing quality improvement plans. In doing this, EPOS places special emphasis on participatory processes, involving relevant stakeholders and staff to make sure that standards and guidelines are adapted to the environmental conditions. As an example, in 2006 EPOS supported the Health Regulatory Authority of the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP)in Pakistan to develop healthcare standards for public and private primary and secondary health facilities. This was done in the framework of the GTZ funded "Support to the Health Sector Reform Project".
