Project: Health Telecommunications Assessment Technical Assistance
Donor: Millennium Challenge Account (MCC)
Country: Lesotho
Description: The Health Telecommunications Assessment Technical Assistance Project is part of the Health Sector Project which aims at strengthening the Lesotho health system including the communication network between health facilities and organizations. This project aims at determining the most appropriate, cost effective and sustainable voice and data communication system for the Lesotho health care system and to develop a program for implementation of a communication system linking Government of Lesotho (GOL), Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL), Lesotho Red Cross (LRCS) health facilities with the district health services and MOHSW.

Project: Prevention and Control of Major Non-Communicable Diseases and Injuries
Donor: Millennium Challenge Account (MCC)
Country: Mongolia
Description: The goal of the Project is to increase the adoption of behaviours that reduce non-communicable diseases and injuries (NCDIs) among target populations and improve medical treatment and control of NCDIs aiming at: (a) Increased awareness of NCDI risk factors, (b) Early detection, and (c) Increased access to efficient interventions.

Project: Framework Contract for Operations and Grant Management Support
Donor: Global Fund
Country: Multi-country
EPOS was awarded a Global Fund framework contract for operations and grant management support, covering Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and South and Southwest Asia. Projects have been successfully implemented in Bulgaria, Romania, Tajikistan, and Nepal and focused on increasing effectiveness of grant management activities and assessing governance structures and mechanisms for areas of improvement.

EPOS carried out a landscape analysis of US and international health information systems for childhood immunization programs under a subcontract for Programs for Appropriate Technologies in Health (PATH), funded by the Gates Foundation.

Project: Development and implementation of a National Injection Communications Safety Strategy
Donor: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Country: Kenya
The National Injection Communications Safety Strategy project developed a communication strategy to promote safe injection practice within communities and among health care providers to reduce demand for injections and increase acceptance of medication by alternative routes.
